About
La Sulla Hospitality was founded by Jason DiLoreti, an American-Italian hospitality professional who has called Montaione home since 2019.
our story
The Story Behind La Sulla
Jason first came to Montaione in 2013, backpacking through Italy for six months with Jill and their two young kids in tow, volunteering on farms to understand how they were run. Something about it stuck. In 2019, they sold everything in the U.S. and moved here for good.
Since then, this place has become home and hospitality and property management have become an increasingly important part of Jason's professional life.
La Sulla grew naturally from that combination: a deep connection to this place, years of experience in hospitality and operations, and a desire to care for homes here with the same attention we give our own.
Stella, Romolo and Emilia have grown up here. They're part of the life and energy behind La Sulla.
Professional Experience
Professional Experience. Local Operations.
La Sulla brings together years of experience across hospitality, property management, residential construction, real estate and technology - experience built not only advising property managers, but actually building and operating properties and businesses.
Jason's property-management experience began here in Tuscany, managing an agriturismo and learning the realities of hospitality at the property level. He later worked with AvantStay at scale, and then helped build Summer from the ground up, growing its property-management business to roughly 80 homes across 15 U.S. markets before the management arm was sold.
That hands-on experience ultimately led Jason to co-found STR Logic, a consulting and fractional support firm for vacation rental operators. Through STR Logic, he works with operators ranging from approximately 20 to more than 1,200 homes, helping them improve operations, technology, revenue strategy, guest experience and organizational structure.
That perspective is what La Sulla brings to every home: the local knowledge and personal attention of a boutique operator, backed by the depth and discipline of experience across the industry.
No two property managers work exactly the same way. Each is shaped by the places, the owners and the homes they've come to know. What Jason brings to La Sulla isn't a fixed formula, but years of experience across different landscapes, adapted with care to this one - to Montaione, to these homes and to the people who trust us with them.
Why la Sulla
A Deeper Foundation
A Deeper Foundation (Slow Food / Pollenzo)
The University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo was founded by the Slow Food movement - built on the principle that quality, place, and care are inseparable. That the way something is made - slowly, locally, with attention - is reflected in the thing itself. That the relationships between land, people, and practice matter as much as the outcome.
This is not incidental to how La Sulla operates. It is foundational to it. Jason holds a Master's in High Quality Products from Pollenzo, and that foundation shapes how we approach every home we care for.
We approach each home the way Slow Food approaches a product: with respect for its origins, attention to what makes it particular, and a commitment to maintaining its quality over time - not extracting from it.
In a region where the landscape, the food, the architecture, and the way of life are all expressions of this same philosophy, it feels like the only honest way to work.
